Taylor Winn exhibit Bass Concert Hall
Well, gang, we got the paintings loaded and delivered to Bass last weekend! It's always an adventure to pack up the big paintings and haul across town in the big yellow truck. Installing the show went great!  Bass has an excellent hanging system which accommodates the work very well.  Many thanks to Emily Kelly and her crew for help and insights in getting the show hung successfully.

There are ten large paintings in this show. There are five paintings on each side of the theater in the galleries flanking the orchestra section of seating. Click an image to link to the painting's page at http://www.taylorwinnart.com.

Taylor Winn 'On the Lake'  billboard now located on I-35 North

Picture
For the past three years, Austin Art Boards, sponsored by Reagan Outdoor Advertising, has selected 10 fortunate artists to have their artwork prepared on billboards and put on rotation around the great city of Austin, Texas. The billboards are rotated when space is sold so artists don't know when or where their billboard will pop up next until it happens. My mom had a pleasant surprise recently upon arriving at Garden Ridge in SW Austin when she happened to look up and quite unexpectedly saw my billboard close by on the access road.

A photo of my billboard,On the Lake, appeared with a story about Austin Art Boards by Statesman art critic Jeanne Claire Van Ryzin.

Austin Art Boards Taylro Winn, On the LakeTaylor Winn, On the Lake, 2012
On the Lake began its journey through the city up on North Lamar where it spent a few weeks before moving to Riverside Drive, Burnet Road, Hwy 290 West and to its current location on I-35 North just north of the Airport exit.  The painting depicts an abstraction of the wakes and trails of ski and sail boats across the waters of Austin's lakes. Spending time on Austin's beautiful waterways is one of the things I love most about Austin. I'm honored to be among the artists chosen to represent Austin's uniquely artistic and Texas-sized way of greeting residents, visitors and those just passing through.
